COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT IS A DOCUMENTARY ABOUT ART, PASSION, CONNECTION, AND DISRUPTION.

We Follow artist CJ Hendry and the execution of her buzzy and subversive project of the same name. This is the 4th year of Copyright Infringement—the art driven scavenger hunt—and CJ’s most ambitious one yet. 1 week, 5 Cities, 250 boxes filled with priceless art printed T- shirts. The stakes are high—not just for CJ and her studio manager Elsa, but for the fans, who each year anxiously wait to find out if their city is going to be blessed with the coveted drop, and if it is...will they be quick enough to snag one.

A community of fandom built entirely through social media, CJ has done what so few are able to do; she has cut through the dense noise online and cast a firm grip on public attention. CJ has tapped into something and we explore how CJ took her rebellious spirit, roundabout journey into the art world and her “let’s have a little Fun” approach and turned it into a global phenomenon.
